Ava - Alla Prima

This portrait video is Alla Prima painted in one sitting. It focuses not so much on accuracy, capturing exact likeness but painting as a searching and discovering process ( without a very define drawing). We learn how to just put the paint down in a very large general sense and than redefine it, sculpt it into specific accurate forms. As always we focus on a flow of light and how to accomplish lit up, luminous portrait that will be seen across the room. This video is good for all levels, it’s a bit over 2 hours of instructions, and includes the list of materials and my palette.
