Boy With The Collar

This portrait, The Boy With Collar is a portrait with dramatic light. The biggest task of that painting was to make the portrait look lit up, and so to accomplish that I kept a strong, simple, dark shadow, supporting a flow of bright light over the forms of the face and collar. There is a short bonus video of the third layer that emphasizes the last touches to the finish that mainly focuses on the edge work of the portrait.
