Painting of Peonies

Let’s paint these beautiful pink peonies together! We’ll begin by observing the entire composition as a large envelope shape. Then, we’ll divide it into three distinct flowers, each with its own unique structure. We’ll gradually move from a general, almost abstract approach to a more precise and specific depiction, teasing out the flowers from the canvas’s space. While accuracy and likeness are important, they are not the sole focus. Our goal is to convey the expression and feeling of the petals, space, air, light, and transparency. This lesson is divided into two parts.
